Co-founded a vehicle telematics company in 2007, pioneering car-to-cloud connectivity using mobile apps. Architected and built platform as a service (PaaS) for vehicle telematics solutions, including :
High performance analytics, reporting, notification, messaging, and synchronization engines.
Driving data filtering, synchronization, and normalization from multiple data sources (e.g. OBD, GPS).
Driver scoring models with tunable rationality rules and driving monitor algorithms for speed limits, intersections, acceleration/braking, and distracted driving.
Built SaaS products using above platform that record drive data via GPS and/or OBD (Bluetooth & WiFi), most notably, the FreshGreenLight DriveTracker app (highlighted below) for teen drivers to track their progress toward a Graduated Driver's License. This app has over 6k users andhas processed nearly a quarter million drive trips with over a quarter billion data points.
